1st Lesson

My 1st lesson with Jason was very relaxed & professional. I learned more in 45 minutes than the last 5 months on my own in regards to reading music, rhythm, timing and playing the notes on the staff. He is very patient and knowledgeable. His diversity in music provides an understanding of where you are at and where you want to go with music. I look forward to my next lesson with Jason.

Ole !

I’m an adult student with a job and Jimmy has been very adjusting about rescheduling my lessons if the need arises. I bought a set of 5 lessons to get a feel for being taught drumming as a beginner. The lessons have been useful as Jimmy sticks to basics and is patient and knowledgeable.

When my 7-year-old son asked for guitar lesson's, my wife and I were at a loss. As we are not musically inclined at all. We found Jimmy from a friends recommendation and could not be happier. Our son, loves his lesson's with Jimmy, he is learning music theory , how to read music and how to make his guitar sing (for a 7-year-old, at least). Jimmy is very patient and attentive to the needs of such a small learner. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking to play.

The Mandolin is a wonderful and beautifully sounding instrument to learn how to play. Starting from the beginning, the fundamentals of the instrument are taught, along with learning how to strum the Mandolin while playing chords of a song. Give it a try and see how much fun it will be !!!

Uncle Dave T. Taught me how to play bass guitar as well as piano when I had no prior musical background. He is currently helping me with acoustic guitar and I hope to play as well as he does one day! He is patient, kind, and elaborate when he teaches. Highly recommended for anyone at any age with any skill level!

Why TakeLessons?

Mandolin Lessons

The mandolin has a distinct and sustained home in American bluegrass and country music made popular by Bill Monroe, the father of bluegrass. This instrument features eight strings and can be played as a rhythm instrument or lead like a violin or guitar. However, it is a while the mandolin is similar to these instruments it is most definitely a different instrument altogether. For example, the approach when playing the mandolin differs from what one would learn with the violin or the guitar. If you want to learn the correct technique in playing the mandolin, we suggest that you consider signing up for our mandolin lessons. Our lessons can help shape your talent in playing this unique-sounding instrument. In addition, through your mandolin lessons you can learn more about its application in today’s music and receive a background in music theory for the mandolin. Your certified mandolin instructor will also teach you the basics including simple mandolin chord formations, how to tune a mandolin, how to pick the right mandolin for you, and how to read mandolin tabs. Intermediate and advanced students can learn mandolin arpeggios as well as other complex mandolin chords and techniques. So if you are looking for a total educational package for your mandolin study, enroll with us today!
