I work with a variety of people with many different goals. Currently my studio has young beginners, teens and young adults who are entering their professional career stage with new recordings, videos and many performance opportunities. We have upcoming shows at professional venues for our young artists as well as nursing homes and churches for less experienced performers. Shows include all genres and styles: voice, piano guitar and ensembles - and the studio has a lot of collaboration between people - doing back up vocals, co-writing songs, duets trios and more.

Outstanding first lesson. We determined my range and worked on exercises to increase it. Looking forward to the next lesson.

A unique method for teaching improve which is what I was looking for. More than improve it's a formate for learning the piano in a more organic and fun way.

Excellent lesson. Only 30 minutes but by the end I was playing simple improvisations (on the piano) over a blues-pattern bass. I didn't believe I had it in me ("improvisation") but he definitely brought it out! He accompanied me on his guitar and we alternated playing the melody\bass on the piano\guitar several times. Quite a trip and I enjoyed it. Looking forward to my next lesson.

Mike is awesome. He taught my daughter piano, guitar, and ukelele. He's very supportive and encouraging, yet he also is quick to correct mistakes.

Mike makes learning music so much fun. My daughter enjoyed the lessons and enjoyed the pieces he taught her. She is now pretty good at improv as well.

I actually took guitar lessons from Mike too, and I learned so much in a very short time.

When Mike is giving lessons, there's no time wasted. My daughter was always playing something during the lesson.

So Mike's enthusiasm for music is infectious. The kids will enjoy him, the lesson, and the music.

Thanks, Mike!

In addition to polishing a piece to play in a public venue, I help the student prepare their presentation from appropriate dress, to walking on stage, performing with or without a mic and general stage presence.

Performance opportunities are relayed to students during their lessons.

I work with an array of clients that include music instruction on guitar, bass, piano and vocals. I also produce various clients working with them on writing their material or helping them hone what they've already written and getting it to tape.

it went very well....i'd give 4.5 or 5 stars but i'm going to wait and see how it goes...i dont give perfect scores for anything so easy....seems to be a very well rounded instructor which fits into my plans of going over a wide range of subjects besides singing.....I'm just going to take five lessons as an overview of musicianship as thats all my budget allows....

Whether you are a vocalist, a pianist, or a singer-songwriter, I can help you take your expression and technique to the next level. I emphasize the concepts of "knowing your space" and then "owning your space" in order to help maximize the potential of the performer. My 10 year old son loves playing little riffs on the piano but really didn't want lessons for fear it would be too much like school. Peter has been awesome about tailoring the lessons so that my son can choose the Music he likes and move forward from his place of interest. Peter is a skilled and gifted pianist, and my son is totally inspired to keep playing and put in the work to improve.

I have been working with Peter for a little over a year and although I'm moving away, I will be continuing my sessions with him over video. Over the past year, I've had the most incredible mentoring experience with Peter and would highly recommend him to students of all ages. I used to play piano as a kid and quit when I was in middle school, and Peter has helped me regain, maintain and build on my skills. He takes measures to keep me accountable in my practice and also nurtures and encourages me creatively -- his experience as a composer comes in handy and we have dope jam sessions. In addition to his musical teaching practice, Peter is also training in somatic and trauma healing modalities that infuse his work with students with care and attunement. I know some parents who work with him keep him around their kids as a life coach and buddy as well as a music teacher. He's the best and I will miss seeing him every week in person!

Dennis was my instructor and is a bit modest about his experience. He taught me on my mom's crappy nylon stringed spanish acoustic guitar back in the 80s. I hope he reads this and remembers the little studios at Fox's Music in Falls Church. He patiently taught me Rick Springfield songs, probably against his taste and better judgment. Anyway, he got me started in my teens and I'm still playing some of the tunes he taught me (plus a few hundred others) on a slightly nicer guitar these days, in my 40s. Keep rockin', Dennis, and thanks for helping spark a hobby I still enjoy decades later!

Dennis was an excellent teacher. He is incredibly talented and his passion for music is contagious. Dennis was also very patient and understanding. He meets you where you're at, and is able to address any questions or difficulties you might encounter. I enjoyed every lesson!
