Experienced, knowledgable and persistent in teaching. I did not think I will be able to learn fast, but Ilona helps in every step. From holding the bow rightly, to using fingers, learning the language of music, she is patient and persistent. I recommend her without reservation..

Got an A!!!

I'm usually a horrible mathematics student but this semester I was taking calculus which is daunting on its own even for students who have been taking mathematics. I have had a 5 year gap from my studies and Varna has been excellent, she helped me work my way up from an F to an A!!! I would recommend her for ALL my future mathematics classes.

After reading all the glowing reviews, I decided to book a one-hour Microsoft Excel lesson with Daniel. He was 10 minutes late to the session and the the session ended up running over half an hour. In 1.5 hour, I walked away with not having any of my excel questions solved. Nice guy, but Just make sure he can assist your Microsoft Excel needs before booking a session with him.

I've been teaching SSAT preparation for 10 years and my students have increased their SSAT scores significantly from their initial scores.

I create a personalized daily syllabus that caters to each student's individual strengths and weakness, and check in with my students daily to make sure that they are completing their homework assignments and have no questions.

My program is rigorous and demanding, but leads to significantly higher scores very quickly. I do not give my students a chance to slack off or to stop doing their homework assignments because students are required to enter when they have completed their homework assignments, their scores, and their vocabulary words daily through a virtual tracking system that I have created.

I provide a book list including Princeton Review and Kaplan books, though can work with whatever books students already have. I incorporate technology to keep students engaged.

I can't wait to begin!

My GMAT journey began wth a large amount of frustration toward both the exam and the expectations I had set for myself. Leona was extremely patient and understanding of my schedule while I was working and made it a priority to help me feel better prepared in areas I was struggling. Bottom line, if you want to do well on this exam it is YOU who needs to put in the effort - Leona will give you the tools to succeed - but if you want a 700+, come prepared to eat, sleep, and breathe the exam. That being said, I'm happy to have Leona as very close friend of mine now and could not have gotten to the finish line without her! A million thank you's!!!!

I would love to become involved and help strengthen the SSAT preparedness of your child! I am currently tutoring a number of students, all three levels of the SSAT (but mostly middle and upper levels) and have seen a huge boost in their confidence and abilities and would love to work with yours.  In addition to reinforcing the fundamentals, and dissecting advanced material so it is more easily understood, I initially examine their thought process, and then deconstruct and then reconstruct their approach so it becomes more systematic and methodical. We are trying to build good test taking habits that can transfer over to future standardized exams.

I had a near perfect SAT math score (780 when it was scored out of 800) and also attended UPenn. But most importantly I can get him/her to raise her SSAT English and Math score! I have also counseled students and parents on college admissions process since I was a counselor for UPenn undergrads for graduate school admissions.

Off to an amazing start with Craig. We started just prior to a big Chem mid-term and were blown away by the commitment he made to getting our son prepared for it. Looking forward to doing much more with Craig!

Craig has been tutoring 2 of my children, one a junior prepping for the SAT and the other a freshman needing help with Bio and math. From the feedback I get, my children love him. He is patient, and systematic and methodical and from the brief glimpses I get, he is very interactive and genuinely nurtures a love of science in them
