Dr. C has the unique ability to make his lessons fun and profound. As someone who didn’t have a formal classical music background, he has consistently encouraged me and has intensified my creativity and curiosity by exposing me to music and ideas that are now indispensable to me. He is passionate, funny, witty, and undoubtedly the most valuable instructor I’ve ever had.
Dr. Daniel Plante
Dr. C. is a longtime trusted colleague with a sterling resume and excellent reputation among his students at both Queens College and Mannes College. Having taught a good number of his former students, I can attest to both the preparation they received from him but their respect and admiration they hold. Much Recommended.

It is amazing how far-reaching the benefits of piano study can be for people of all ages! Studying music helps bolster math, reading, and critical thinking skills while developing creativity and discipline. Because every student’s needs and interests are different, every lesson will be individually tailored. The curriculum is delivered and discussed with candor and humor. Students are treated with respect and encouraged to push themselves. Piano study should increase confidence, creativity, and love of music.

Curriculum
Piano curriculum is based on the Bastien Piano Basics program. At every lesson, students learn to read music and develop musicality by working on theory exercises. Using first the Bastien Piano books and then supplementary “fun” books from Faber and other publishers, students put their skills to work, playing songs appropriate to their level of accomplishment. Many pieces include an optional teacher duet, giving students an opportunity to play with another musician – ...

As a French student, I can tell that Concetta is perfectly adapting to my way of learning. I know music for a long time but I'm a beginner with viola. I thought it would be a very hard exercise to practice but with Concetta's advices, I constantly and rapidly improve my technique. Five stars is the minimum I can give !

Hi, I am Valdis! My motto is "teach as you have been taught". This is how belcanto school survived until nowadays. I spent 17 years of my life studying and singing in Italy before moving to the US. In my opinion, there are two main teachers in every singer's life: the singer himself and the stage. My goal is to teach how to listen to yourself giving the right tools in order to make a singer independent and professionally auto sufficient. Simplicity and naturalness are the keys: these are the principles applied when I was learning and I am trying to continue this tradition without any alteration.
I am a professional opera singer with more than 60 roles in my repertoire (mostly principal). I performed in more than 70 theaters in more than 20 countries: La Scala di Milano, Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Theater an der Wien, Spoleto Festival USA and many others.

She helped me with my technique and by the end of the lesson it was easier to hit them!
