Beginner saxophone players need guidance from an experienced saxophonist such as myself to use simple language to explain the shape of their mouth, breath control, how to hold the saxophone, etc.
We spend some time on the basics to ensure that you have a good solid foundation to expand upon. And then I custom tailer our lesson plans to meet your needs!

The teachers I was fortunate enough to have as I grew up were so important in my musical development, and they kept me interested in continuing with music! I understand just how important specialized attention to talents and interests are in beginners and all other levels.
So my focus is always trying to make sure my students are enjoying their instruments every step of the way, while providing the structure and expert assistance that will bring the progress that students need to experience.

Accepting students in the south shore area. I'll travel to you!

I’ve always was a musician but only discovered my voice 10 years ago. I have gone through so many struggles to find my voice and I can help you find yours quicker than I did. I have gone through the wrong path and have had amazing teachers get me out of traps and dead ends and in return I’ve been able to help my students do the same. I’ve been teaching for 6 years now and it has been another passion of mine to see my students grow and achieve their dreams.

I like to make learning an instrument fun and easy to fit into your schedule!

If you're an adult finally getting around to learning your dream instrument or a child following your passion of playing music I tailor your lessons specifically to you. We look at what you want to play, pick specific songs that you want to learn, and learn the techniques you need to play these songs. It sounds simple, but it's so effective and much more fun to learn this way!

"Dawn is awesome! Very thorough with her explanations and really customizes lessons to my goals. She’s very encouraging and always reachable for questions outside of classes. Her hardware set up was conducive to on line lessons so it felt as much of an in person class as it could get. The lessons have really prepared me and got me excited for many more sewing projects!"
