Experienced tutor of over five years, having taught students of a variety of backgrounds and skill levels ranging from tutoring middle and high school students in algebra to college undergraduates in solid-state physics.

I am a Princeton graduate with a degree in physics and a current Caltech PhD candidate in Materials Science. I aced the SAT and ACT in high school, got a near-perfect score on the GRE, and have achieved high grades across various challenging high school and college classes. My subject-matter expertise and wide range of tutoring experience, including with international students, illustrates my ability to adapt to different student needs. I look forward to working with you to help you achieve your educational goals.

Math has always come naturally to me throughout my time in school. Although I am pretty proficient in math, it is needed and recommended that you check in with me the specifics of everything that you need help with prior to our lessons that way I can refresh my memory. It is also recommended that you be very specific with what you need help in to ensure that you are getting the material with which you are struggling.

For elementary students, I am proficient enough to teach the basic math principles and subjects like multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction.

For middle and high school students, I am proficient enough to teach algebra principles within pre-algebra and algebra 1. I do not have the proficiency to teach geometry or algebra 2 at the moment. For algebra 2 lessons, I will need the material prior to the lesson to "refresh" my memory.

Math and science can be hard to fully grasp so my lessons focus on pushing students to understand concepts well enough to be able to explain those concepts to others. I personally believe that is proof of true understanding.

I am available for online lessons as well as in-person lessons, both long term and immediate assistance.

Math is not fun for everyone, but that’s why I'm here! With me, Mr. G, you will find that math can be fun, despite the many confusions and complications it sometimes brings into our lives.
Before any math takes place, you, the student, will express to me your true feelings towards math. If you absolutely HATE it, that’s okay!! My hope is that regardless of your feelings towards math, we can create an honest student/teacher relationship. This will hopefully lead you to grow in confidence and self-compassion as you also grow in knowledge of one of your soon-to-be favorite subjects.
I prioritize a safe space so that you may always feel comfortable to express your feelings, concerns, questions, or anything else that may come up during our time together.
