I learned ASL in high school as a second language. My college did not offer ASL classes, therefore, I taught others in my university's ASL club. I mentored students there to teach them vocabulary and engage in basic conversations. Aside from formal lessons, I also find it beneficial for my student's to use ASL to transcribe personal songs of theirs! This is the best way to combine vocabulary and grammar for ASL.
