Philippe is a wonderful French teacher. We've been doing French for several months and my language abilities have noticeably improved. He knows your limits and when to push past them. Not only is he a great teacher, he's also hilarious, which makes making mistakes more funny than embarrassing.
Joy
Philippe is a great teacher. I am trying to regain my French and get to the point of conversation. He is always looking for ways that fit the way I learn and is always encouraging and enthusiastic.
Michele
Philippe truly has been the best instructor I have had for French. He always treated me with respect and kept the course work fresh and interesting. He used a variety of techniques and was intuitive enough to know what worked best for me. He was patient and never pushed beyond my patience! He exceeds expectations, always sending additional resources outside of the course. He's available whenever you need him. He's kind, generous, and I can't wait to start another course with Philippe!

I have played the violin since 7th grade- about 9 years ago. The violin is a very soothing and elegant instrument that can make beautiful sounds and can also wake up someone’s attention. I have played in FiestaVal in Tennessee and I did orchestra for two years in middle school. Currently going to college for vocal performance and orchestral performance. I would like to teach those who are interested all that I know about this great instrument, whether it be a beginner, or a returning violin student.

About Oresmary

I will be doing tutoring sessions for anyone interested in learning more about the violin. I have performance experience ranging from middle school years to early adulthood and I may also include performance advice for those who struggle with “stage fright”, or those who simply would like to bec

I sincerely believe creating music should be a joyful & fulfilling experience and one that will be a positive change in someone’s life (as it has been for mine). I teach all genres of music on multiple instruments and specialize in audition preparation, real-life gig preparation and musical mastery. Teaching Style
I believe first and foremost in supporting and developing what musically inspires a student’s decision to study and play music. In order to fully develop control, musicality and understanding of the music language, it is important to focus on several components including music theory (scale and harmonic structure/function and rhythm), style, ear-training, reading and performance skills.

Expectations of Students
Like any aspect of life, consistency and patience are two very important qualities to posses when working towards a goal. The duration of each practice session is proportional to the level of the student. Learning how to practice efficiently with your instrument is key for adherence and success in obtaining your goals.

Brendon helped me get started writing songs / producing music. Brendon was very helpful getting past anxieties with getting started and feeling overwhelmed by all the possible ways you can go about making music. Each week he had suggestions on how to improve the structure of my music. Also, he was willing to go wherever my interests were at.
Furthermore, he's nice.

First thing I do before first day of class is send out an enthusiastic email to introduce myself. We then Briefly discuss the learning goals for the course based on the visual literacy, technical, and intellectual competencies the students would like to achieve by the end of a period. This is ideal for me to design the course or update an existing course for the student's desired outcomes. The customized syllabus and the schedule are completed along with a comprehensive strategy for what will take place during our lesson together. Your art knowledge will not only be enhanced by understanding contemporary artistic developments but your understanding of what is art in society will most absolutely be enriched.

You can not directly get someone to see that they can be better or do better without a bit of influence.
Ms. P has been a positive influencer to my daughter. She taught techniques and gave her a written action plan for practice. I looked for someone my daughter could look up to and see herself in. She’s played drums and piano in school when she was younger and now wants to focus on being a vocalist. Ms. P offers lessons in singing and playing instruments. I figure she would be a perfect example of what you can do with your talents. My daughter words are below:

“Working with Mrs.P was a great experience. i didn’t realize how much breathing comes into play while singing. She showed me how to elongate my voice and sing from my chest instead of my throat. She’s very funny and kind and makes learning a comfortable experience.”

I'm thankful for Takelessons online options and finding Ms. P for my daughter's vocalist growth.

Priscilla has such a calming and warm presence! I love how she opened the lesson with meditation and stretching exercises.

And she jumped right into teaching me the song I wanted to learn how to play. I’m really going to enjoy taking more lessons with her. 😊

Acting Tips: What's in your Toolbox?

As with any profession, actors have tools. Just as a doctor needs a stethoscope or a fireman needs a hose, there are certain items an actor must keep in their toolbox. I usually start classes or lessons by asking my new students or clients what they think these tools might be. Sometimes, the answer is very literal ("Script!"), and other times abstract ("Passion!"). None of these is a wrong answer. Being an actor or artist is subjective and everyone's process is different and valid. But t …
