I teach photography in the most fun and simplest way. I do not teach entirely based on what photography books tell you, we do it by shooting photos, making mistakes, amnd learning from these mistakes. Photography learning should not be boring, it's got to be fun, interesting, and outgoing.
With over 30 years of commercial photography experience, i can share my knowledge and experiences with you, and be able to understand photography in an interesting way, and eventually lead you to being a pro!

About Deano

My professional photography career started in 1982 as an assistant to Mr. Richard Noble Studio on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles, California. It was an incredible, creative & amazing studio to be part of. Richard is a legendary photographer whose work graced the covers of all the magazines & billboards

I had been a student of photography from Deano Mueller for over 3 years now! With all his teaching experiences from The New York Film Academy on the Universal Studios lot, as well as working as a Professional Photographer since 1989, Deano really knows how to share his experiences, skills, & wisdom with total understanding of sharing his knowledge of photography! By far, Deano has been the best teacher that I had the pleasure to work with and has made me a much better photographer and also because Deano understood my wants & needs of what I really want to learn about photography through his knowledge & experiences!

I am a certified teacher with a master's degree in Radio, TV, Film and one in education as well. I was an adjunct professor of photography at Manhattan's New School for Social Research for 10 years and have spent another 10 years teaching other adults as well as adolescents photography. I have conducted private lessons as well as workshops in my own studio.
My teaching is unique because, unlike many photography clubs where members voice their various opinions on photographs, my technique involves an objective approach where lessons are given each time that can be analyzed to see if requirements of the assignment were met. This way, the student learns not just through critiques, but by comparing his or her results to successful examples. I also do quite a bit of field work and teaching by example. It's the most effective way to learn. I get students putting their digital cameras on "MANUAL" right away and they master the concepts of correct exposure right off the bat.

About William

I have been doing commercial photography for over 40 years. I owned and operated a large studio on West 22nd Street in NYC for 20 of those years and I taught photography from 1988 to the present. I have never stopped. I like one-on-one sessions, but I have also conducted many workshops and classes i

First thing I do before first day of class is send out an enthusiastic email to introduce myself. We then Briefly discuss the learning goals for the course based on the visual literacy, technical, and intellectual competencies the students would like to achieve by the end of a period. This is ideal for me to design the course or update an existing course for the student's desired outcomes. The customized syllabus and the schedule are completed along with a comprehensive strategy for what will take place during our lesson together.

You can not directly get someone to see that they can be better or do better without a bit of influence.
Ms. P has been a positive influencer to my daughter. She taught techniques and gave her a written action plan for practice. I looked for someone my daughter could look up to and see herself in. She’s played drums and piano in school when she was younger and now wants to focus on being a vocalist. Ms. P offers lessons in singing and playing instruments. I figure she would be a perfect example of what you can do with your talents. My daughter words are below:

“Working with Mrs.P was a great experience. i didn’t realize how much breathing comes into play while singing. She showed me how to elongate my voice and sing from my chest instead of my throat. She’s very funny and kind and makes learning a comfortable experience.”

I'm thankful for Takelessons online options and finding Ms. P for my daughter's vocalist growth.

Priscilla has such a calming and warm presence! I love how she opened the lesson with meditation and stretching exercises.

And she jumped right into teaching me the song I wanted to learn how to play. I’m really going to enjoy taking more lessons with her. 😊
