She works with many Broadway artists in her “singing performance" and "acting" classes at New York's famed "Carnegie Hall" and the "Complex Theatre" in the heart of Film TV Theatre Row in Hollywood. Ms. D'Andrea has helped thousands of professional performers around the world prepare for and land jobs in the industry. Carole is a shining light in my creative life as an actress/singer and I recommend her highly. Class begins with an inspirational quote and group check-in which encourages an immediate vulnerability and tenderness in the work that ensues. She is funny and dear, and a most humble music theatre icon. She sows the seeds of depth, compassion, and discipline in the most beautifully humane way! Don't miss an opportunity to work with Carole.

I've been a professional actor for over 30 years. My work has ranged from classical theatre, world premiere plays, to guest starring roles in television and film including Modern Family, Scandal, CSI Los Angeles and many more.

I co founded an award winning regional theatre in the Northwest that is still running strong. Last year, the film I directed, Here Awhile starring Anna Camp, and Joe Lo Truglio, was released to wide acclaim.

Throughout my career as an actor who has performed with 6 Academy Award winners, I have remained committed to sharing my knowledge and experience with other actors.

I received my BFA at Southern Oregon University where I worked at the famed Oregon Shakespeare festival. My MFA comes form the Alabama Shakespeare festival. I taught acting at Cornell University and Willamette University as well as teaching privately for the last 20 years.

The industry is growing and changing all the time, and what makes working with me particularly special is that I'm ...

Tim's class is a great resource for anyone looking to improve their acting skills, audition technique, or general understanding of the industry. He does a wonderful job of translating his extensive experience into practical advice for other actors. Every week, he provides individualized feedback to each workshop participant on every aspect of their submission. I've learned so much about specific techniques for television and film acting, the practical and technical considerations when putting together a self-tape, as well as just general professionalism and industry standards. Thanks to this workshop, I feel much more confident and prepared for what a career in acting entails.
Liz
This is a very useful class. I've learned a lot about making self tapes that I didn't know before - from technical considerations to acting skills. The class is friendly, supportive, and useful.
Lauren
I love working with Tim! He consistently guides me to do my best possible work, and I always walk away feeling confident that I crushed the audition, whatever it is. And booking several jobs after getting coached by him certainly doesn't hurt!

The first lesson went great and though there was a lot to learn, she explained everything and was clear about her expectations.

Ilana is my first instructor, and I can already tell I made the right choice. First lesson, I told her what I felt my biggest weaknesses are, and she immediately began helping me. She was very considerate and emphasized her concern about pushing me too far, but I told her to trust me in return to tell her if I had hit a limit, and I felt very heard in that moment. The sort of open and safe communication she has provided makes me feel at ease during our lessons and thus makes it easier for me to push past any limits I've so far come across. Honestly after each lesson, whenever anything happens in my newly found VA world, the first thing I think is: "I can't wait to tell Ilana!"
Alex and Alahna
Ilana was very informative, friendly, and helpful. It's hard to find someone that truly has these qualities, but Ilana has them and is great. She was very informative on breath control which is a major thing to know. Looking forward to more lessons with Ilana and to continue improving.

"J is awesome. The class is tailored to the student to help with what student wants to learn. What you get out the class is based on the effort you put in. I started the classes not knowing anything and just wanted to see what I could do if anything and now I am confidently going to each session looking forward to seeing how far I can take it.

Because the class is designed for the individual student, I got to work with a monologue from a video game and learn how to break down the monologue, create character for the monologue (which was a challenge and a half to distant myself from the actual character) and learn to believe that my created character is real and how I can show that with my acting. In doing I decided to use an accent, and J gave me resources and tips to find that voice.

Speaking on my experience, if you are beginning like me this is the perfect man for the job. As long as you put in the work, he will help you, guide you and push you to challenge yourself when it is needed!"

"It really is more (Voice Acting) Script interpretation, and Diction; how to pronounce words in a script or paragraph, correctly. Fawn didn't waste any time, I was concerned about my Skype audio, no problem, and after a little wrangling, I figured out how to send her an audio file, and script I wanted her to look over.
She made notes, gave me suggestions, made comments on what I sent her, I'll do my home work; because I want to improve, and we'll do it again next week; same time time, same station... Sorry couldn't help that! She's the kind of coach I need right now!"

Introduction to Voice Acting: Books & Resources to Check Out

When it comes to the performing arts, voice acting attracts some of the most fiercely dedicated enthusiasts, despite the relative anonymity compared to acting on stage or on screen. In the old days, radio dramas were the most common inspiration for aspiring voice actors. Today, it’s animation. The key component of voice acting, even more than secrecy and seclusion, is versatility. An in-demand voice actor may be called upon to provide the pipes for a cartoon rabbit in a kid's show on Friday, …
