I believe that singing is part of the human experience. A lot of people don't know where to start, or maybe they've lost touch with their own voice. That's why I'm here. I'll take you from whatever level you're at, whether you're a complete beginner to a young professional, and help your voice grow and develop healthily.

A lot of people with my level of training and experience don't have the patience that I have to work with novice singers. Which, I love to do.

Most recently (before the pandemic), I sang at Carnegie Hall, with the New York Philharmonic, and the Hawaii Opera Theatre.

About Samuel

Hi there! I'm Sam. I'm a self proclaimed beach bum and foodie when I'm not singing. I love teaching people. It brings me so much joy to see the progress in my students. The whole process of finding creative ways to teach different people is rewarding. Originally from the California Bay Area, I got

I'v been casually singing my whole life long and I recently decided to try to do it right. I've been taking remote lessons with Sam for a few months now and it's been truly helpful. Many of the concepts are very new to me, but Sam has done a great job explaining things, sometimes from a few different perspectives, and I can feel things slipping into place.

Singing concepts that have eluded me are finally starting to make sense. For example a few weeks back at rehearsal with the trio (I sing and play bass) I noticed myself using my diaphragm to support my singing in ways I'd never been able to before.

Before lessons with Sam I've never been able to understand the various singing voices everyone talks about (head voice, chest voice, etc.). However just last week in lessons I was able to not only identify my bad habit of singing nasally, but I'm finally making progress on correcting it!

Sam's approach to explaining concepts has worked well for me, I'd recommend him to anyone who wants an involved teacher who patiently works with you to find your best voice!

Carolyn has and is exactly what I was looking for in a voice coach. Like me, her interests in the performing arts are broad. I felt both excited and comfortable with her. She is professional and easy to talk to. I can sense strongly that Carolyn is full of love and compassion. I am so excited for the next lesson! Here's to the new horizon and everything in between! :) Thank you Carolyn for reassuring me that my decision to switch careers was a wise decision indeed. Dance forward.

I have a simple, no-nonsense approach to vocal training based on how the voice is designed to work. In a casual and friendly atmosphere, I help students build the vocal strength and coordination necessary to sing efficiently, using principles and exercises learned through over a decade of intensive vocal study in NYC.

Please be advised that I expect students to learn their music on their own (although I'll certainly give you some learning strategies, help with tricky passages, etc.). If you are looking for someone to "teach you the notes," I'm probably not who you're looking for. But, if you want to learn how to sing well and are willing to put in the work, I'd love to help you achieve your goals!

About Ted

My name is Ted D. and I have been teaching private lessons in both guitar and voice for over a decade. I began playing guitar at age eleven and continued into college, where I majored in guitar performance. While in college I began studying voice seriously, adding a vocal performance major to my deg

Ted has helped me more in just a few short months of lessons than all the other teachers I've had in the past. My confidence has soared. My voice is stronger and my range is growing. I highly recommend Ted to anyone trying to improve their singing voice. I just can't say enough good things about him.
Mariah
Ted is an absolutely phenomenal instructor and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to strengthen their vocal abilities. I’ve been singing my whole life and have been the lead singer in a band for 2 years, but had never had any technical training. Over the course of 8 lessons, my range has drastically increased, and my voice sounds clearer, stronger, and more professional. Aside from being a wonderful teacher, Ted is patient, kind, funny, knowledgeable, and made me feel very at ease. I definitely plan on taking more lessons with him in the future!
Kat
I could not speak more highly of Ted as both an instructor and person. I started voice lessons with very little confidence & musical knowledge, and in just a few months of working with Ted have become MUCH more confident and skilled as a singer/performer. Ted is professional, patient, informative, humorous, encouraging, and most of all passionate about helping students reach their musical goals. I would highly recommend Ted for singers seeking professional careers in voice, as well as people simply wanting to improve their voice and boost their confidence.

I firmly believe anyone can dance. There should be no limitations: not ability, age, gender, body type, weight, or prior experience. That's why I teach dance to people of all ages.

My classes are rooted in classical ballet with influences from Balanchine technique. I love teaching beginners the fundamentals of barre work, turns, and leaps. But I also have the expertise to teach intermediate-level dancers who wish to improve upon their technique.

Each dance class starts with a barre exercise intended to challenge the mind and body. I will then guide dancers in a stretch and across the floor technique. Choreography can be worked on or taught when requested.

I began studying dance at age 3 in the Denver, CO area. Throughout my life, I've had the privilege of studying ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, and contemporary. After graduating from high school, I pursued an education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I was also a part of the dance program. I quickly switched from ...

"This was my first time modeling in a show, and my overall experience was great. Tamika provided great feedback regarding walking, using modeling stance, posing, and how to have fun and interact with the audience. She chose awesome people to walk for her in the show, and we all got along really well. Tamika communicated professionally and respectfully to her models. She also provided all of the clothing for the show which was great because I did not have to come out of pocket to get additional clothing. I would suggest that she get an assistant to help her on the day of the show."

She corrects with kindness when needed, and maintains a delightfully positive attitude throughout the lesson.
