Students who study with me learn a technique based on clear, focused vowels, with a ringing tone. I am able to teach art song in Latin, German, French, Italian, and English, as well as operatic and musical theater styles. I am interested especially that young singers begin on a good foundation with repertoire suitable for their voices. I help my students achieve goals such as placement in choirs and participation in vocal public performance.

Including warm-ups, repertoire, vocal technique, performance practice, breathing, phonation, pitch, diction, and musicality.

I have an M.M. in vocal performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts and have extensive operatic training. I teach an open throat technique (appoggio) that allows the singer to sing with freedom, and access their entire range evenly. I also work with students to develop style, interpretation, languages, and acting ability.

Healthy singing is a multifaceted endeavor. It requires synergistic engagement not only between the vocal folds and vocal tract but also between the entirety of the body and the perceptive mind, regardless of genre or style. My teaching addresses and fuses each component of this pivotal trio comprising mind, body, and voice. The result will allow your instrument to find a newfound freedom of expression, progressively giving you the increased power and the agility to emote in a multitude of styles across the vocal spectrum.

Recognizing singing as a deeply individual experience, I am a fervent advocate of student empowerment. My job is to bestow you and guide you with the fundamental technical tools that you can then use to earn the gratification of becoming your own best teacher for whatever you desire to sing. Classical Voice:
I teach a World Famous Voice Method passed down to me by mentor the late, great Dante Pavone. Dante was born in Italy in 1910 to a famous Opera singing mother. He toured the whole world with her and they even sang with Caruso, the most famous Opera singer that ever lived. If you really want to learn the most solid breathing technique you will ever learn in your life you have come to the right place. I was told by one of Dante's students that singers from NY City Opera used to sneak up to Boston to study with Dante, because their teachers were ruining their voices and Dante would have to cure them.
