By understanding certain technicalities in songwriting such as structure, melodic flow and lyrics you will be able to tune into your own songwriting process. I'd love to be a part of your journey!

Since I was 16 I have made a professional life performing at a keyboard of some description. So that makes for a lot of years of playing. (Check my hair color)

We record you in a recording studio environment from the first lesson.

Lots of styles: every possible kind of band, jazz, rock, funk, blues, country, solo.... Whatever you want to play there is a pretty good chance I can help you realize your dream. And get started fast.

An integrated approach:
Music almost always involves several skills. Below are some of the complementary skills that I can help you with.

In my Semper Method, we always address several of them at every session. For example, we record, sing and play all the time. To sing you should be able to pick out intervals at the piano, or better yet, accompany yourself and everyone needs some music theory. So it really is all one thing.

Accompaniment, Arrangement and Composition, Audio Engineering, Audition Prep, Composition, Ear Training, Film Scoring, ...

Randy's insights on speaking on YouTube have been game-changing for me. His expertise spans many relevant topics, including breathing, public speaking, and voice strategies. And he has really helpful insights and feedback. I strongly recommend him for YouTubers.

Randy is attentive, honest, patient and a helpful instructor. The homework works if you follow it. I may have felt uncertain about the class at first but that changed after the second session. By the fourth class, I observed improvement in my speaking voice. I highly recommend Randy for speaking voice lessons.

I had a great experience with Randy. I really enjoy his lessons. I appreciate that he gives homework and tips after each lesson. I noticed an improvement in my speaking voice after only 2 weeks.

We feel so privileged to have Randy as an instructor for our daughter. Not only extremely proficient in many areas of music, Randy is also very skilled and proficient with his teaching. Our 12-yr- old daughter thanked us for finding Randy, saying that she has learned and progressed so much since he began teaching her. He helped ready her for her audition, and her confidence is growing. I can't recommend Randy highly enough.

My daughter has been taking voice & piano lessons with Randy for about a year now. Within a few months after switching to Randy, the improvement in both her piano playing & in her voice was very noticeable not only to us (her biased parents), but also to her music & performing arts teacher at school and others. Randy is an excellent teacher who knows how to bring the best out of his students. My daughter loves her lessons with Randy !

I have helped dozens of students over the last five years improve their SAT scores dramatically. There are clear types of questions the math section of the SAT repeatedly asks. The first step to mastering the test is to know how to do each type, the next and most often neglected step is to know how to do each type with ease and the last step is to be able to quickly recognize each type and apply the techniques necessary for solving them. My method for achieving this is to explain the concepts multiple ways to find the one that makes most sense to the student. Then I have students repeatedly do each type until they become commonplace. Last, I have them do as many practice tests as possible so they learn to apply the concepts utilizing time management. By repeating each question type rather than doing one and moving one I ensure that the concept sticks in the student's mind. By repeatedly taking practice tests students earn the confidence they need on testing day to perform their best.

About Christopher

I have tutored all sections of both the ACT and SAT as well as many other subjects for over five years and have logged over 3,000 tutoring hours as well as over 650 five star ratings through other tutoring services. I tutor because I love the challenge of helping people understand new ideas and en

Best experience! My son who is on 6th grade had to take the SSAT in a short period of time and Chris got him engaged from the first class, not easy for an online class. He was easy to communicate and was open to work with our schedule. Thanks for all the work you did!

Moreover, his success at teaching children in the US comes from his natural ability to break down complex ideas into easily understandable ones. A kind man and a joy to learn from, I highly recommend Mr. Ohashi if you want to learn any aspect of painting."

"My classes with Professor McNeil were amazing. While her courses are not easy, they are extremely rewarding. She has an uncanny ability to make otherwise difficult techniques achievable, easy to understand and fun to practice. While taking her classes, through her way of teaching I wanted to paint more, draw more and felt confident to do it. I cannot dream up a better teacher, she is patient, inspiring, and pushes you to try new techniques in a way that you don't realise until you're practicing them. If you take her classes you'll only want to take more."
