I am a published photographer, a professional musician with an international acclaim and a published writer.

The reason all of these arts are synergistic together is because they are all about the inner vision and the capture of something magical. This magic is invisible to these who pass by in a rush.

Photography has been a love of mine since childhood as I took images with a fully manual camera in black and white without a range finder or auto focus lens. I still love the visceral experience.

My published photographs both on line as well as in galleries have been met with approval both in the media as well as by the established authorities. The director of Eastman House has picked one of my larger images of nature as one of his favorites. My specialty is street photography and the expressive moments of animals interacting with people. I do like portraiture which has been selected as an honorable win by photographic associations and printed in concert programs for ...

Joseph has a wealth of knowledge about speaking, listening, vocals, etc.

He created a welcoming environment in our online lessons that made it easy to be vulnerable and get right to working on new skills.

I highly recommend for others looking to better understand their voice and communication style, and learn to hone them.

Joseph put us at ease immediately. Our first lesson included valuable information on how to warm up our voices, increase our range and protect our voices. We look forward to our next lesson.

I have been studying piano with Joseph for nearly five years. In that time, I’ve learned more about the piano and musical interpretation than I ever thought possible.

Joseph’s technical ‘short cuts’ are amazing! He illustrates ways for your hands and your mind to work that are tailor made for you. Learning from him is so fun it seems almost effortless.

The way Joseph teaches allows you to develop at your own pace. The atmosphere is always relaxed yet everything moves along quickly.

At the open classes I attend, his other students are progressing very rapidly too. After each class, we share our impressions. The mood is elated because it feels like we stepped back in time and into history.

Joseph often quotes inspired wisdom of his historic teachers in our lessons. He is a great inspiration on his own with great musical insights.

I’m playing Beethoven and Chopin works I never thought I could approach at this stage of study, with great depth of understanding. I now play with greater passion and skill, get compliments from everyone I play for, and no longer worry about playing in public.

I look forward to each and every lesson with Joseph. His encouragement and support makes learning so rewarding! Anyone who finds this musical treasure is a lucky person and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

First thing I do before first day of class is send out an enthusiastic email and call shortly after. Briefly discussing and establishing the learning goals for the course based on the visual literacy, technical, and intellectual competencies the students should achieve by the end of a period is ideal for me to design the course or update an existing course for the student's desired outcomes. The syllabus and the schedule are completed along with a comprehensive strategy for what will take place during class.

About Priscilla

Hi! I’m Priscilla also known as Ms. P. to my students. I'm a mentor who values a unique and creative approach to learning music and photography. In my career, I’ve realized the importance of using a variety of teaching techniques catered to a student's learning style. As a mom, I’m witness to

You can not directly get someone to see that they can be better or do better without a bit of influence.
Ms. P has been a positive influencer to my daughter. She taught techniques and gave her a written action plan for practice. I looked for someone my daughter could look up to and see herself in. She’s played drums and piano in school when she was younger and now wants to focus on being a vocalist. Ms. P offers lessons in singing and playing instruments. I figure she would be a perfect example of what you can do with your talents. My daughter words are below:

“Working with Mrs.P was a great experience. i didn’t realize how much breathing comes into play while singing. She showed me how to elongate my voice and sing from my chest instead of my throat. She’s very funny and kind and makes learning a comfortable experience.”

I'm thankful for Takelessons online options and finding Ms. P for my daughter's vocalist growth.

Priscilla has such a calming and warm presence! I love how she opened the lesson with meditation and stretching exercises.

And she jumped right into teaching me the song I wanted to learn how to play. I’m really going to enjoy taking more lessons with her. 😊

Stephen's a great instructor both from a technical and personable perspective.

He's got a cornucopia of musical knowledge that's evident from how speaks to how he teaches. If you like any film score, chances are he knows how to play it.

Speaking as a beginner, I can say he's been very patient and knows a bunch of exercises and books to learn everything thing from theory to practical pieces to finger exercises.

He provides constructive guidance on what you're doing wrong, and I'm happy to see myself improve under his tutorage. (oh and if you're a sci-fi fan, you'll have a lot in common with him)

Steve is an excellent teacher! I always look forward to my classes. I am a student in high school, and he fully understands my need to balance my school work with piano, and he makes sure that I am able to comfortably commit to both aspects of my life. Steve makes sure that I stay on task and that I am progressing with my piano skills all while making the lessons fun and enjoyable.

I am now realizing I am more of a hands on person it is personally challenging for me to learn using this method. In an ideal world we would be learning by shooting in real time."

"I had been a student of photography from Deano Mueller for over 3 years now! With all his teaching experiences from The New York Film Academy on the Universal Studios lot, as well as working as a Professional Photographer since 1989, Deano really knows how to share his experiences, skills, & wisdom with total understanding of sharing his knowledge of photography! By far, Deano has been the best teacher that I had the pleasure to work with and has made me a much better photographer and also because Deano understood my wants & needs of what I really want to learn about photography through his knowledge & experiences!"
