Music is all about you. My piano lessons are dedicated to you, refining your abilities, sharpening your ears, and incorporating enhanced levels of creativity. With a background also in composition I have a wide experience in not only performing but writing music, which gets me in close and personal to the inner workings. I have a wide range of knowledge in history and repertoire to engage students outside the realm of normal and often overplayed repertoire.

Especially during major world events, the need for art and mediums where humans can express their emotion are of vital importance. "Practice makes proficiency” - this is true for music as well as life. Mistakes are inevitable but it is mistakes that allow us to grow and achieve greater things. I will patiently and effectively work with you to refine the mistakes and achieve proficiency in your journey through music.

I have a great love for classical piano. I have a unique method for introducing music theory that allows my students to grasp the hows and whys of various pieces. I have great respect for the virtuosos and master teachers that have come before us. While I work on scales and cadences with my students - I also set up a program specifically geared towards what my students (and/or their parents) want to learn. I can be very formal (because I recognize its value) and very relaxed (because I know that this type of teaching is important for some people). Classical piano is not a walk in the park; there is a reason many people do not move to the next level. I make my instruction easy-to-understand and enjoyable.
