I have worked as a tutor for several years and taught a variety of subjects. My main goal is to equip every student with tools they need to be successful. I care more about comprehension and learning, than grades. I work with each student individual to develop a personalized plan of organization, motivation, and accountability.
I have extensively studied vocal performance for many years and continue to add to my own technique. I have a Master of Vocal Performance Degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, where I extensively studied the anatomy of the voice. I am the

Students can expect a teacher that addresses every single aspect of learning orchestral upright bass: from honing bow technique, to left-hand formation and fingering choices, to reading musical notation, interpreting music and learning rhythm.
My goal is to help students develop a technical foundation on the bass for playing just about any kind of music that they are interested in, and to support students with practicing tips for areas in their playing where they want to improve. My specialty is symphony orchestra training, so I primarily use both the Essential Elements for Strings books and Suzuki Bass School series at the beginning, and then later as students make progress, I begin to introduce standard orchestral repertoire, sonatas, and concertos written for the bass. I have been teaching since August 2016 and so far I have helped students get into All-States, ensembles at the New England Conservatory Preparatory Division and Berklee College of Music, Districts/Regional ...

Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from New England Conservatory of Music
Teaches students 5 and up
I am a professional violinist and violist in the Boston area. I am a graduate of the New England Conservatory where I have studied with Miriam Fried, Donald Weilerstein, and Martha Katz. I have performed extensively throughout my life as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player on both the violin and viola in a variety of professional ensembles including substitute viola work with the Borromeo String Quartet. I draw from this performing background to teach my students of all ages and abilities.
I currently act as Adjunct Instructor of Violin and Viola at Merrimack College, where I serve as a primary instrumental teacher to enrolled students. I have also acted as the primary violin teacher for Main Street Music, LLC, in Waltham. Additionally, I run a private studio of approximately 20 students as young as 6 and as old as 60. Of these, some never touched an instrument before our first lesson, and some are serious conservatory-bound musicians intending to make a career as a ...

Teaches students 6 and up
I can teach students theory, harmony, ear training, improvisation, how to play their favorite songs, how to create their own music, and how to read both tablature and sheet music.
I started playing guitar when I was in the 8th grade. At that time I was into punk, and as I got older I moved into listening to classic rock, then blues, then all sorts of jazz and jam bands, and now classical and sacred art. And my playing of the guitar has following the same trajectory: I playe

Go at your own pace and have fun are my knitting mottos! I teach continental style knitting and have been teaching beginners to knit for over 5 years. Together we'll experience the excitement that comes when you cast on something new, learn a new stich, or finish a favorite project.
I'm can start with the basics (cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch) or jump straight into helping on a project you have planned (or started and got stuck on? don't worry - it happens to all of us!). There is no limit to the kind or number of projects we can do. I have plenty of project ideas and am always happy to help with your ideas, too.
My grandmother taught me to knit when I was 11 years old, and after taking a few years off I picked up the hobby again in my 20s. Now in my 30s I am an avid knitter - there are always several projects on my needles (I need one I can travel with, one I can do while watching TV, and usually one I'm ma

Ms. Norman is a great listener as well as teacher. She also challenged me which I needed and I felt very comfortable with Ms. Norman.
Very satisfied and we’re just getting started!"
Within weeks of pairing up, my acting style/delivery is far more conversational. Plus, I’m more at ease when working to find the true essence of a character to develop and make my own.
I always walk away from Jeremy’s sessions learning something new. Jeremy’s constant encouragement has propelled my confidence, as an actor, to another level.
Initially, I wasn’t really into the idea of taking acting classes via FaceTime. The idea sounded so impersonal and potentially distracting, not with Jeremy. It's as if he's working with you, face-to-face, in a studio.
In addition to acting, Jeremy has been so supportive with my first attempt in writing a screenplay. He's such a creative influence.
The secret is out, Jeremy Kruse is the "Best Instructor Ever"! Working with him makes my dreams of becoming an accomplished actor a reality. Thanks Jeremy!"
If you've ever watched an actor disappear into their role, shedding genuine tears or adopting mannerisms that aren't their own, then you've seen method acting techniques in action. Most people think of this approach as "becoming a character," and some actors do take that literally, pretending to actually be the person they're playing. Method acting is taught everywhere from Hollywood to Broadway. But a few notable actors are well-known for taking it to award-winning extremes, making enormous …
