I am an origami artist and origami teacher with more than 20 years experience of teaching origami to children, adults and seniors. I live in NYC. I have been teaching origami in private and public schools as well as community centers, museums and senior centers. I work well with special needs children and adults. I use paper and materials you can find in your own home, like printing paper, napkins, dollar bills or business cards. Origami is not just another art or craft form. It is a way of acquiring multitude of skills, in a fun way . Origami engages students in learning basic math concepts like shape, size and number. Created the curriculum for our elementary after school origami program. The curriculum includes Introduction to origami and Japanese culture, Modular and Action origami, Paper airplanes and Aerodynamics, Magic Origami and gifting origami. The curriculum contains over 200 models from easy to difficult and caters for all levels of skill. Our mission statement is to educate our students in an interactive and entertaining manner.
