I studied Shakespearean acting extensively with Ben Reigel during my undergraduate studies and have performed Shakespeare works professionally. I will instruct you on how to interpret the original Shakespearean markings and perform Shakespearean works in a relevant way for a modern audience.

I teach all kinds of acting, and have for over 40 years, but I specialize in stage acting, on-camera acting, acting for the face, voice acting, comedic acting, physical acting, improv, script analysis, monologues, audition prep, audition videos and voice over auditions.

A classical education makes everything so much easier. There are basic classical rhetorical devices that are easy to use once you understand them and make acting so much more fun and simple. It is 'playing' after all and with these techniques that are just ages old and so ingrained in humanity and nature you will be delighted and challenged.

I was a Drama major at Trinity University for 21/2 years. I have coached students in Shakespearean acting for several years.

We will talk about the text, what it means, how it can be interpreted, ways to explore it, why it has stood the test of time.
