As a teacher, I want to inspire passion. The trombone is my passion and I want to share it with you. Music is about creativity and expression and I want to help every one of my students experience this. I cater all my lessons to the student, but also want to help students establish a strong grasp of the fundamentals of music and the trombone. I hold a Master of Music in Studio Music and Jazz Trombone from the University of Miami, have worked in a variety of settings and styles, have been teaching for over 5 years, and can't wait to share my experiences with you!

Learning an instrument should be both fun and motivating. If something isn't working, we'll take a different approach to accomplish the same goal. Everyone learns in their own unique way, and lessons should reflect that!

I have a degree from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music and have studied with some of the best trombonists in the world. I have a lot of playing and teaching experience, having performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and many other venues around the city. I can teach you any style you are interested in and will make sure you have fun doing it.

Over my 20 years of playing trumpet professionally, I have picked up enough trombone to offer quite a lot to trombone students! I believe the fundamentals of all great brass playing are the same, and I can get you off to a fantastic start if you are a beginner or intermediate player :).

Trombone is, and should be, FUN. It's my main instrument, and I have 20 years of experience: both my Bachelor's and my Postgraduate Diploma are in Trombone Performance. If you want someone who knows the instrument inside and out, who can help you with intricate technical issues, and who is well acquainted with trombone repertoire and how our instrument is used in different styles and ensembles, I've got the knowledge and the skills -- and I'll do it all in a way that helps you LOVE playing.

I have experience teaching brass: trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and tuba; for 5 years and have played professionally for 15 years. What is your goal?
