I am a graduate from the Chicago College of Performing Arts Conservatory with a Bachelor of Music Composition and a minor in piano performance. I have been playing piano and flute since 2006 and started composing/song writing in 2009. That passion drove me through collage to get my degree. While in college I learned two things too late: one, I love the learning process and bettering ourselves through something we love and two, teachers work FOR the students, not the other way around. In that line of thinking students can expect me to meet them at their level whatever that may be. If you want to learn more about music theory rather than the piano, cool! if you want to talk music history or music recording, I am down! If you have never touched an instrument, or learned how to read music, I can meet you there. On piano I was taught a lot of jazz voicing and improv. I then my piano playing turned to classical from many different eras, giving me a wide range of piano performance knowledge. In the height of my composing path I needed to put on a full program of my own written works. One whole hour of original music, written rehearsed and performed by musicians I needed to rally together. Beyond those two musical endeavors I couldn't ignore my passion for technology surrounding music recording. in 2013, I became in intern at the legacy recording studio Rax Trax Recording. There I was an integral part of setting up and setting down many different types of sessions and got to sit in on them too. I took these skills to the next level and took one on one lessons with a recording engineer there to maximize my time at the studio. My next musical chapter involves all you potential students! I love music and everything about it, I can't wait to share the passion and more importantly fuel your own passion, whatever that may be. Please message me with any questions or concerns you may have regarding this program. Thank you for your time.

Andrew teaches both my 8-year-old daughter (a beginner), as well as my 11-year-old daughter, who has been playing for several years. Aside from being highly competent, he makes the lesson stress-free, and fun for my children. We have opted, in the interim, to keep the lessons online, and Andrew has gone out of his way to ensure my girls feel engaged and excited about playing piano. I would highly recommend him as an instructor capable of handling all levels and abilities.
Great with my young kids, Andrew was easily able to hold their attention and we're looking forward to more lessons.
