I have over 20 years’ experience. I have been working for major fashion brands companies in NYC. I am experienced with working with beginners, intermediate and all levels. I am offering industry level sewing classes and pattern correcting and altering techniques that will cater to your needs. I will be able to teach foundation skills of how to operate a sewing machine, how to use a serger or how to use an industrial sewing machine. I will also teach how to hand sew, follow and understand a pattern and how to finish your work beautifully. I am also going to work with you on your own personal projects. I teach hands on beginner’s patternmaking and sewing skills that you will need for garment production, arts and crafts and any project that involves sewing. For instance: I can help you make pillows, bags, aprons, stuffed toys and other household items. If you want to make clothing, I will guide you through using a published pattern. I will work closely with you to make sure you understand the project and to make sure you properly construct a quality finished project. I have been sewing since I was in 3rd grade and was making doll clothes for my Barbie dolls and clothes for myself by the time I was in 9th grade. I also used to work closely with a Tailor/dressmaker as an apprentice during my summer holidays in 10th grade. Students are expected to provide all tools and materials. Recommended duration is 2 hours. I charge a different rate for in home private lessons
