Brian is definitely one of the greatest teachers I've ever had. He is very knowledgeable and has helped me a lot with technique and musicianship. I never thought I could play the the 3rd movement of Beethoven's moonlight sonata; he changed my notion. Highly recommend! He does not disappoint!
I'm from Hong Kong and had come to Mr Brian Lam's masterclass and private lesson in 2018&2019 when he came to HK. To me, Brian Lam is not only a piano teacher, but also a master, mentor and music friend. He knows a lot of music and his passion and teaching brings me to enjoy music more and inspire me a lot! He is very nice, professional and patient and always encourage me to develop my potential and improve my piano skills in both musically and technically. I also admire his piano skills a lot, he can play great and difficult pieces in a very beautiful way. I am always looking forward to seeing him and having lessons with him soon!
The reason I came to Mr. Brian: I wasn't making any progress under my previous teacher at a local music school. I'd say I absolutely have made the right decision to study with him! At first, my parents thought Mr. Brian's piano lessons are a bit expensive, but they let me try out the first few lessons. Worth the price! I have stayed with him for almost 4 years. He is so passionate with piano and he always tries to push me to my fullest potential, even when certain pieces seem impossible for me to tackle. We are working on a 45 min college audition program; I have never imagined I could make it this far (I hated piano when I was a kid).
