Perfect your skills on the violin with lessons from a tutor with 40 years experience.
With the highest range of the orchestral string family, the violin is capable of singing with the voice of an angel. Solid technique in combination with musical expression is what makes that possible, so these will be primary areas of focus during our lessons. We will cover form (because that is the foundation of technique - without proper form, mastering the instrument is virtually impossible), intonation (which is as much about training the ears as it is the fingers), tone (I'm probably biased, but I think strings have the most beautiful and expressive sound of all of the instruments of the orchestra), theory (the grammar/vocabulary/sentence structure and written language of music), literature and history (the music itself, who wrote it, when it was written and in what context). It's a misnomer to lump almost 1000 years of the music of Western Civilization under the label "classical" (which technically represents less than 100 years of music history). If you're playing in an ensemble or orchestra in school, private lessons will give you the details you can't get in a group setting and will definitely give you an edge. Yes, we will play scales, and no, that's not a dirty word. Must of all, we will have a lot of fun.

Cameron is an excellent teacher . He has vast musical experience and is so kind, friendly and patient with my son - Aarav .He has gone extra mile out of his way to learn about my son's learning pace and guided him professionally to pick up the violin basics easily. Aarav was not only able to learn from him, but really enjoyed him as a teacher, as well. Cameron is highly skilled at teaching. I would highly recommend him .

Cameron has been my voice teacher for close to four years. I started taking voice lessons for the first time at a community college in Arizona. After moving to Florida, I met Cameron and resumed studying voice. It has been my pleasure to work with him and feel fortunate to have him as my teacher. He has helped me tremendously. In the past, I was a baritone, but Cameron has worked with me to extend my range, so now I am more of a bari/tenor. He has helped me learn better breathing technique, so now I can hold my notes twice as long and my tone is very much improved. It has been an honor to sing the National Anthem on multiple occasions with our local veteran's AVAST Color Guard presentations. Cameron worked with me for many lessons to improve my rendition of the Anthem. The Star-Spangled Banner is not an easy song and I wanted to sing it correctly. Cameron was very patient and helped me with the rhythm and diction. I sing it unaccompanied and I don’t read music, and I am in my 70’s. I think I am a challenge for my teacher! I have received several complementary letters on my performances, so I shared those complements with him because I could not have received them with out his help. I highly recommend Cameron as a teacher and an honest person.

Mr Cameron is a wonderful teacher. Because of him I have learned more than I could ever possibly imagine. He teaches me little tips and tricks to keep me on task and to correctly play the violin. I may not have played violin for very long time but because of Mr Cameron I can play like I played the violin for 8 years! Mr Cameron has made me from a beginner all the way to a pro. Anyone who ever goes to Mr Cameron soon will be able to become a teacher. You forgot to keep your wrist straight, you forgot to keep your elbow straight, you are on the wrong line oh, don't worry, Mr. Cameron keep you on the goal. Mr Cameron is an amazing teacher.
