Born and raised in NYC, I began my professional career at the age of 7, performing on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera as a member of the children's chorus. I continued my training at the "Fame!" school, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music, Art, and Performing Arts. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University and a Master of Music in Opera Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Experienced in multiple musical genres, I have performed extensively in both opera and musical theater productions across the country and continue to pursue an active performance career alongside my teaching. My background includes training in vocal pedagogy, choral singing, music theory, ear training, acting, dance, Alexander Technique, piano, violin, and vocal diction (English, French, Italian, and German). My musical mentors have played a critical role in shaping much of who I am today, and I strive to support and inspire my students in the same way. I tailor my teaching approach to what is most effective and enjoyable for each individual by meeting my students where they are and exploring what learning style works best for them. Together, we can cultivate the joy and freedom of expression through music and achieve your goals!

Danielle is such a fantastic voice teacher! In my first lesson, she immediately put me at ease with her warmth and positivity! She's given me fantastic guidance and tips to help me navigate my vocal technique and rep, as well as a safe space to make mistakes and learn from them. I truly enjoy working with Danielle and always look forward to our lessons!
I grew up singing for fun (choir mostly) but I am a instrumentalist. I’ve always wanted to be able to sing confidently, with proper technique so I could have control etc. and so I finally pulled the trigger on lessons. I was nervous going into it, but Danielle immediately put me at ease and I feel like I’ve already made tons of progress towards finding and developing my voice!
I've wanted to sing for a long time, but felt insecure about my lack of vocal training. I tried to practice on my own at the beginning of the pandemic, but youtube tutorials can only go so far... About a year ago, I finally decided to start taking real lessons. I asked around, heard about Danielle through a friend, and started taking weekly online lessons with her. Looking back, the progress I've made in just one year is nothing short of astonishing. I think I always had a decent natural voice, but it was clearly unrefined and my ear was completely untrained. For example, I would often sing off key and crack high notes (I have a low voice), which still makes me cringe when rewatching old videos. While my singing is not perfect by any means, Danielle helped me make so much progress. I particularly like singing old-school jazz standards, and she's been very accommodating in tailoring her lessons to my musical tastes. But to my surprise, I've also found myself attempting more classical singing under her guidance, and realized that I like it much more than I'd have expected! She's a professional opera singer herself, and it shows. She's also very good at approaching technical difficulties pedagogically. Let's be honest, opera singing can be really daunting especially for a beginner, but she's always made me feel comfortable in singing with my own voice and work through imperfections. I'm still taking lessons with Danielle and look forward to them every week. The online format works really well for me (I have a busy schedule) and hasn't held me back at all. If you want to really discover your voice, I can't recommend Danielle enough. You'll be amazed by what you can accomplish!
