Matthew has studied piano for over 20 years and has taught for over 10 years. Covering all styles you can expect a well rounded lesson with focus on theory and technique. Students will learn major and minor scales and keys and be able to identify chord types and shapes while reading music.

I like to use “method books” to help with reading and music theory no matter which instrument they choose. I always use supplemental materials that follow the student’s interests and level. I often use technology in lessons to motivate and help students grow. For example, I use many apps for theory, note reading, and rhythm training.
