Emily Holguin is a Boston- based musical theater and opera singer, actor, and voice teacher. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University and is currently earning her Masters in Opera Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Emily considers herself a lifelong learner and currently studies classical voice under her mentor Dr. Rebecca Folsom. As a performer, Emily has sung a variety of both new work operas and musical theatre works, performing with Austin Opera and College Light Opera Company. Professional credits include Everest (Austin Opera), A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (College Light Opera), and Little Women (College Light Opera). Continuing in her work as a cross over artist, Emily was awarded the Emerging Artist Award in the 2020 Lotte Lenya Competition. As a private voice teacher, Emily’s mission is to help singers find their most free and healthy sound using evidence based vocal techniques. She is passionate about equipping singers with confidence in their authentic artistry and helping them build a better relationship with their voice. Emily’s private voice studio is home to any singer who is looking to clarify their vocal technique, sing with more ease, and have more fun in the practice room! Emily is happy to teach most ages.
