About Eric J.

I give my students 110% and take pride in my students growth and accomplishments. I began working with takelessons in 2013 teaching students of all different ages, ability levels in-person and online. I teach many different subjects, and my experience as an online music teacher is unmatched. I've taught lessons on all video conferencing platforms to students all over the world. I started teaching music as a teenager. My experience includes coaching well-known musicians/celebrities, being an on-set tutor for Hollywood feature films, vocal coaching at recording sessions, preparing students for high school/college music conservatory admission, casting calls for TV/Film, major tour auditions, and industry showcases. I am a professional and treat all my students with respect. I am reliable, and flexible with scheduling. In 2020, I received a sponsorship grant from The National Music Health Alliance & The National Recording Academy (Grammy Awards) and my band was featured in Billboard magazine, and signed a worldwide record deal. In 2021, we've released a top ten hard rock single and will be touring internationally. I've recently been the featured singer on a benefit for Save Our Stages, and co-wrote and sang on single which features members of Slash & The Conspirators, KISS' solo bands. I’m endorsed by PRS guitars, Elixir Strings, Godin Guitars/Bass Guitars, & Metaldozer Mic Stands.  ______________ I'm the vocalist, lead guitarist & songwriter for a well-known touring hard rock band with a worldwide fan base and nearly 6 million You Tube views and 1.8 million Spotify streams. I graduated from New York University with Bachelor's of Music in Jazz guitar and trained with the most highly respected rock/pop vocal coaches in the world. In 2015, I signed a major label publishing deal with Fieldhouse Music/BMG). My songs have been licensed for national/international TV (E!, MTV, VH1, Oxygen, TBS and more), commercials for CBS, Nike, Coca-Cola, Samsung and in video games. Styles I regularly teach include: Pop, Rock (Classic Rock, Indie Rock, Alternative Rock, Hard Rock), Metal, Punk, Jazz, R&B, Blues, Funk, Soul, Classical, Folk. ______________ Lesson Details My students learn the following techniques and more... Many of my students message me a few days prior to our scheduled lesson with a song selection for the week. I focus our lesson's technical study with the song in mind. It has proven to be very effective and makes the technique and theory are less "boring." Studio Equipment I have (8) guitars: including (4) electric, (1) acoustic/electric, & (3) electric basses (2) tube guitar amplifiers, and various guitar effects pedals. (1) full-size 88-key MIDI keyboard, and (1) Arturia MINILAB MIDI controller. I have an assortment of industry standard dynamic & condenser microphones for live performance and recording applications. I will help you (a singer, or instrumentalist) to find your unique voice, and a polished and distinct sound. You will find 'your voice' and personality as an artist. I am 100% committed to making you a success! I will ignite a new, or recharge/rekindle your passion for music, and to sing/play the music you love a lot better!
