Hi there. My Name is Gene. I've been playing music for a good chunk of my life and I'm really excited to share what I've learned with you. I attended the Musician's Institute in Los Angeles, where I studied guitar and vocal performance. I've written, produced and recorded several of albums of original material. My music has been played on radio stations across the country. I've also been fortunate enough to have some of my songs placed on television here in America, in England and in Asia. In addition to teaching guitar and song-writing lessons, I currently play in an original rock band. I was also a finalist in the Unisong International Song Contest two years in a row and one of my songs was a notable mention in the American Songwriter Magazine lyric contest a few years ago. *** Lesson Details *** I like to make learning as fun and easy as possible. We'll start with the basics so you can stat playing as soon as possible. From there I encourage students to bring in songs that they would like to learn to play. Rock, Pop, Blues, R & B, whatever you like. I find it making the learning experience more fun when students get to work on songs they like. My goal is to equip you with all the basics of guitar performance or songwriting if that's your interest. Guitars. Two guitar amps. Computer. Parking available in drive way. *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide paper for notes, and printed curriculum that the student can take with them. I expect the student to provide their own instrument.
