Hello there! My name is Gerad and I have a Masters Degree from the University of Central Florida. I am an English native speaker and a Passionate English teacher with 4 years of teaching experience. I can also express myself in French so I understand what it means to learn a second language. I aim to provide interesting, and stress-free lessons in a comfortable and encouraging environment. Rather than the traditional route with textbooks and boring grammar lessons, I prefer to focus on the relationship between the instructor and the student. With my Professional years of experience and satisfied students, I am certain you will not only improve your language skills, but you will also have a great time while doing so! With regard to my teaching style, I am quite laid back and student-focused. Meaning, I will adjust my methods based on the student’s preferences. If the student wishes to be corrected during our lessons, I will do so. If the student prefers their corrections sent to them in written form, no problem. Whatever ensures a smooth and relaxing lesson, that is what I will do. My ultimate goal is for the student to have enjoyable conversations surrounding topics of interest to them, after all, it is their class! Throughout my career, I have taught various age groups, from young children to adults. I taught English for three years in South Korea, and during that time, I also traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia. During my travels, I developed a fondness for conversing with people from backgrounds different than my own. I also have experience teaching Chinese, Pakistani, Indian, Japan, Ukraine, and Germany students. I am available for any questions or comments, so please send them my way.
