Piano Lessons for children and adults – Fun and goal-oriented
My lessons are never boring! For children’s lessons I use a “gamification” approach, adding little games and optional vocal elements to keep kids engaged. I also offer basic singing techniques and a goal-oriented approach for adults. In your first few lessons, you'll learn a couple of simple songs, basic music theory, and piano etiquette. As we go on, we will also incorporate ear training, techniques, and more complex pieces selected based on your personal goals and preference. You will learn different music genres, styles, composers, and music from all over the world. In my lessons we work on creative activities and on exercises that promote intellectual development. I use fun games and activities to improve students' sense of rhythm, melody, form, harmony, timbre, and style. My students excel in competitive and non-competitive events. Some have received certifications such as the Certificate of Merit (CM) from the Music Teachers’ Association of California, and many have gone on to be admitted with high passing grades to university music programs.
About Hanna S.

A results-driven piano instructor, choir conductor, and classical singer with 21 years of playing and 10 years of teaching piano and music to children ages 3-12, teenagers, and adults. Growing up in a family of musicians, Anna has fond memories of watching her mother sing and play the piano. She fell in love with the magical world of music and has been playing the piano since the age of 3. Anna’s professional achievements include playing in ensembles and performing at major concert halls. She has won numerous piano competitions, including Best Accompanist Performance at Mikhail Glinka Minsk State Music College Festival in 2013. Anna has studied piano, choir, vocal, solfège, harmony, and music literature for 17 years, first at Minsk State Music College, then at the Belarusian State Academy of Music with a major in piano instruction, choir conducting, and vocal instruction. Anna’s students have been accepted, with high passing grades, to several university music programs. Anna believes that playing piano is essential for everyone, because piano music is incredibly powerful and can bring out strong emotions in both the listener and player. This leads to stress relief and better all-around physical health. Anna's classes are never boring for children, as she uses special play techniques and play exercises for the development of motor skills and ear training. Adults are usually enrolled in an individual program based on set goals. After attending your very first lesson with Anna, you will be able to perform simple melodies.

Hanna is such a patient instructor and gets along really well with my 13-y.o. daughter. My daughter can’t wait for her next piano lesson. Hanna is kind and encouraging. I would definitely recommend her as an instructor!
