I knew I was going to be a musician when I won a talent contest at the age of 4. Not because I was so great but because they gave me money! Needless to say I went on to study both piano and voice and later went to college on a scholarship. I earned three music degrees; BM in Vocal Performance, BM in Music Education and an MM in Opera Performance. I taught Vocal music, K-12 for 24 years and also have a private music studio in my home. I have performed in music theatre, opera, night clubs and even had some Rock and Roll! If it was music I wanted to experience it and somehow pass on what I learned. All students are unique and I consider their individuality a prize! Each one brings their own dreams and goals and God leads me to help them achieve them. I consider this a sacred trust. I am still studying piano and voice which I believe helps me be a better teacher! I also believe that the gifts that I have are meant to be used to help others. This is my calling and great joy!
