My name is Jessie and I first decided I wanted to play the harp when I was 11 years old! Fast forward to today and I have been playing for over 20 years and also providing private lessons on harp and piano for over 6 years. I have experience teaching adults and children, with the emphasis being on children from ages 4-15. I value both playing by ear and also reading music, but encourage all of my students to focus on music reading initially and then begin building aural skills to develop playing by ear afterwards. Music has been an incredible part of my life thus far and has helped me grow tremendously in both confidence and artistic expression. One of the most amazing benefits to teaching is seeing these same skills grow in my students, past and present! I look forward to hearing from you!
