Jonathan Weir graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Hartt School of Music with a degree in Piano Performance and Composition. Jonathan has been playing Classical Piano since a young age and has studied under Maggie Francis, piano faculty at the Hartt School. The discovery of Classical Piano also led him to the New England Conservatory Preparatory Program where he studied piano and composition, two years before pursuing his degree at Hartt. Jonathan believes that music is about other people; the opportunity to share it and witness the impact it has on others is of great importance to him. Even as a kid, Jonathan always found great pleasure in teaching others about things he was passionate about. Now, as an experienced instructor, he is eager to guide others in exploring the incredible world of music, piano playing, and composition. Jonathan runs a media platform titled "This Is Classical" which is all about sharing the incredible world of Classical music. Especially during major world events, the need for art and mediums where humans can express their emotions is of vital importance. Classical music is for everyone and Jonathan is uniquely qualified to lead you towards refining your piano abilities, creating your own masterpieces, and looking in-depth into what makes music "TIC". "Practice makes proficiency” - this is true for music as well as life. Mistakes are inevitable but it is mistakes that allow us to grow and achieve greater things.
