I have been playing the fiddle since I was 7 years old and I took lessons for 13 years. I started out taking lessons from a fiddle teacher who taught me entirely by ear. Later on, I also took classical violin lessons and I teach both styles, however I will just be focusing on fiddle music with my online students. I have been teaching for 12 years and have taught over 100 students. I like to continually challenge myself to become a better musician by learning new music, attending music camps, and dabbling in new instruments. I have a love for fiddle music, due to my roots, and I love to work with both children and adults! Besides teaching, I also enjoy performing. I grew up playing the fiddle in my family's small bluegrass band. I am currently the only violin player in The Prophecy Show (a Trans-Siberian Orchestra tribute band) that travels around the midwest performing during the holidays. I play at weddings, at church, and have also played in several community orchestras.
I've been playing the fiddle for 26 years and have been teaching for 10 years. I welcome students of all ages and have taught people between the ages of 5 and 60. I started out learning with a fiddle teacher playing by ear and then later switched to a classical teacher so I have a broad range of music that I love. But my favorite style to play is fiddle music.
