Associates in Music from San Diego Miramar College Bachelor's in Music Studies from Berklee College of Music Master's in Music Education from Boston University What I Teach? I have taught public school band and orchestra since 2012. I teach at Tilghman's Academy of Music online privately and group classes since 2018. My primary instruments are woodwinds, but I also have taught numerous piano classes for children as young as 3 years old as well as adults. Subjects I teach reflect the interest of the students and may include: classical, jazz, pop, rock, worship, world music, theatre, and more. Why I teach? I believe every person has a connection to music. It is my passion to help my students develop life skills such as: critical thinking, creative expression, setting goals, overcoming obstacles, and finding your voice individually and in society. Music can heal us, unite us, transform us, reveal who we are, or take us on a spiritual journey. Discover more of yourself with music! I want to help you set and reach your goals through positivity, encouragement, and opportunity to explore your creativity. I am available any time for my students to answer questions and I make it my responsibility to make sure my students have everything they need to succeed.
