For me the quality of the lesson is more important than trying to go through as much material as possible. In that way we can take our time to fully learn and develop certain aspects of flute playing, go through any problems that you would be facing and making interesting discussions about the material we would be going through. I like to personalize the lessons for each student taking in consideration their level (absolute beginner, beginner, intermediate and advanced), what is their way of thinking and processing information and what they want to gain from the lessons. As well as setting goals and keeping track of the progress. I bring a positive attitude in the lesson with a lot of space to explore, experiment and to make our own "laboratory" during our lessons! I am mostly based on classical music, but I am always open for any other suggestions from the student :) Most of my life I have been living in Europe where my journey of music had started. I play the flute since I was 8 years old and finished my Bachelor studies at Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music. During that time I did one year Erasmus exchange program in Munich, Germany. After graduating my Bachelor degree I continued my journey to Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Belgium where I obtained my Master's degree with magna cum laude. Now my journey continues in Chicago where I am a Regular Member in the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. If there are any other questions about me, the lessons or anything else, don't hesitate to contact me! Looking forward to hear from you!
