I am a Multi-Instrumentalist who teaches Guitar, Drums, Bass, Music Production, Audio Engineering, Cinematography, Photography, and Video Editing. My instrumental experience includes 14 years of live performance, recording and songwriting. I focus my lessons around the understanding of music theory (chord progressions, scales, rudiments, rhythmic structures, picking techniques, etc) and making sure that the student is learning, and having fun, because if you're not having fun then you're not learning! As a means of dedicating my life to music, I have built a music studio in my home to accompany my students, recording artists, and for my own personal projects. My mission to my students is to help them project their inner uniqueness to the world through the art and power of music. I have a background in numerous genres including rock, funk, pop, blues, soul, RnB, punk, folk, and acoustic music. Although each student is different, typically we will spend each lesson practicing warm ups, learning songs, improvising, ear training, and answering specific questions the student may have. I pride myself in being a teacher but also a mentor and friend to my students. I provide videos to help guide their practice, charts, and playlists for them to listen to. I help students find deals on gear and guide them in decisions for what they might want to purchase next. I have a Diploma in Recording Arts from The Recording Arts Center at Studio West Recording Studio. I am also available as a recording engineer for those interested in recording their music.

Kevin’s excellent guitarist and teacher. I had been feeling bored and stuck in my guitar playing, and he got me excited about it again! I really appreciate that he’s straight to the point and provided the information I needed in our first lesson.
I just had my first lesson with Kevin and it was fantastic. I have played bass for many years and Kevin quickly identified my weaknesses and gave me something to work on. 5 stars, will continue to attend his lessons.
Kevin is a pleasure to work with! He was willing to answer any questions I had and guide me into the genres and techniques I wanted to learn.
