My name is Lars and I am looking forward to teaching you guitar. I've been teaching guitar for 7 years. I believe that anybody can learn to play well, if they work hard, stick with it and have a passion for it. Because I did. It took a lot of work for me and did not come easy. It's never easy, nor should it be, because a person is learning a real skill. But the rewards of improving are wonderful, a sense of accomplishment and confidence is being built in a person as a result of the hard work they are putting in. This is especially great to see in young kids. And of course it's really fun and in my opinion the best thing in the world. The starting age doesn’t matter, old or young, a person can get so much out of music on so many levels. In addition to music, I also teach the Swedish language, (conversation only) and Tennis. I was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Grew up playing tennis, was a competitive junior player and also played briefly on the circuit. I’ve been coaching tennis in Atlanta since 1989. I worked at clubs, swim/tennis neighborhoods and independently. While having been a touring/recording musician I found the sports side being very complementary to it and probably kept me out of more trouble at times. Looking forward to meeting you. Cheers

Lars is an amazing guitar instructor. Going into my first lesson all I knew was a couple open chords (and didn't even know they were their own category of chords) and after my first lesson I knew about so much more. He really instilled in me w/in one hour the magic of guitar and the ability to play different notes anywhere on the fret board. W/in one month since meeting with Lars, I have gone from knowing simple open chords, to knowing power chords up and down the neck, knowing how to barre major and minor chords, I've learned the full pentatonic scale, and great ways to embellish between chords to make open chord songs come to life. This past month has been an amazing journey for me, and I thank Lars for helping me progress and become passionate about the guitar.
I've been taking lessons with Lars for a little over 2 months now and he has been awesome! The way he teaches is very easy to understand. I've had a few teachers in the past and Lars is by far the best!
Lars had bern a wonderful teacher to my two daughters. While I am a Swedish speaker myself, I have found it challenging to keep up with teaching my children the language (much to my dismay). Lars is very patient and encouraging in his teaching approach. He is fun and easy going and my girls look forward to their lessons. Learning Swedish with Lars has been a great experience!
