Mabuhay! My name is Lou. I'm a teacher from the Philippines and now living in the USA. While still living in the Philippines, I taught Filipino, English, Science, and Home Economics for over 10 years to both elementary and secondary students respectively. Prior to landing a regular teaching job in public school, I worked part-time as a private tutor in our neighborhood and nearby areas. Currently, I teach Tagalog to people who wants to learn and understand the language better. Tagalog is the basis of Filipino, the standardized national language of the Philippines. Aside from teaching Tagalog, I also offer crocheting lessons. I manage an online shop where I sell my handmade products (mostly crochet) like beanies, scarves, hair accessories, blankets and party giveaways. Occasionally, I accept commissions from people. This opportunity helps me support the education of the kids in my family. Whenever I have free time, I love to be able to crochet, cross stitch or sew. I already have done several big and small projects for household use or as gifts to members of my family and friends. Learning handicrafts and basic clothing helped me a lot to be more creative and independent in life. When I'm not busy teaching, I spend most of my day in the garden admiring the flowers and vegetables I grow. I enjoy cooking delicious meals for me and my husband. Playing with our dogs is my daily exercise.

Loudel has gone above and beyond to make sure my daughter (age 11) was prepared for her first class and gave great feedback after the first session. She really knows how to teach her craft.
very very passionate about the culture and langage. I learned a lot just on the first day. Highly recommend.
Mrs. Woodhead is an excellent teacher. She breaks down the lesson with funny examples and relates it to your life. I like that she is encouraging and patient; both qualities make learning a second language fun. I feel very lucky that I found her to teach me Tagalog.
