I began teaching myself guitar after two years of experience with the saxophone in middle school band. I furthered my understanding through my studies at UCLA, forming relationships with professors, music students, and LA-based professional musicians/composers. I am currently studying with Andy Wasserman, a protegé of George Russell: the teacher of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, and Ornette Coleman. My instruction aims to promote the process of active listening and the curiousity of my students, so they can grow into more sensitive and creative individuals.
