I grew up in Saint George, Utah, and I moved to Northern Utah in September 2020 to get married and be close to my fiancee's school. I have taught violin/viola lessons for years and have helped all my performing students receive many awards (All-State Orchestra, Superior at State Solo and Ensemble, etc.) and reach their personal goals. Job History: *Private Violin/Viola Teacher for 8 years. *Morning Strings teacher for 9 years. *Strings Specialist at 4-Strings Violin Shop for 1 year, managing strings department. *Orchestra Para-professional with the school district for 2 years. *Castle Rock Music Camp assistant at Dixie State University *Current Strings Manager at Riverton Music Experience playing: *Principal Violist of DSU symphony orchestra for 2.5 years. *Music Education requirements taken for 3 years (1 year to go!!) *Guest performer with Jenny Oaks Baker and Family. *4 years of professional quartet experience. *I have worked with musicians from around the world and have played in multiple performing groups. *I've been playing and taking lessons for violin/viola for 14 years. *In grade school, I earned numerous awards from UMEA's Solo and Ensemble, SUPAF and performed with numerous other groups including UMEA's All-State Orchestra. In this time of teaching I've learned that the most important thing about private lessons is tailoring them to each individual student. No student learns the same way, or at the same pace. I help students find the fun in what their learning while helping them excel. I also provide them with other learning opportunities outside of private lessons. This includes recitals, masterclasses, and group learning activities.
