I have been playing the piano since age 3 and violin since age 8. Besides regularly performing, teaching has been one of the most important things in my life. For more than 20 years, I have taught piano, violin, composition, theory, and music technology to music lovers of all ages. My students have gone on to win prizes both locally and nationally. I enjoy sharing with students my love for music in a nurturing atmosphere. *** Lesson Details *** Note-reading, technique, theory, improvisation, standard and not-so-standard pieces. Occasionally, we also include pop, jazz, blues, and musical theater works in our lessons. I have been described by my students as funny, strict, nice, and patient. I am not afraid to tell my students they need to step up the effort if I see potential in them to do well. I also know when to give them the support when they feel frustrated. Students' interests will be taken into consideration for the pieces chosen and the style of lessons given. Teaching has always been my passion. I get to know the personality of my students so we can work together to bring out the musical talent in each of them. Student recital is held at least once every year.
