With more than twenty-three years of professional teaching experience, Dr. Regina is able to offer her students a diverse range of educational resources. She specializes in teaching piano, performance, and music theory to students of all ages and levels. At the age of fifteen, Regina graduated with honors from the Z. Paliashvili Special Music Gymnasium for Gifted Children in Tbilisi, Georgia. As a student of a famous Georgian pianist, Tengiz Amirejibi, she represented her country in numerous international competitions, gave many solo recitals and concerts with the Georgian Symphonic Orchestra, and performed for world leaders such as Eduard Shevardnadze (President of Georgia and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR). Regina's professor - Tengiz Amirejibi - was a student of Heinrich Neuhaus, a world-famous Russian pianist and professor. Regina earned her Doctorate of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) with emphasis on Advanced Piano Performance from the Tbilisi State Conservatory. After graduating, she worked with talented young musicians in her alma mater for many years. Later in her academic and professional career, she taught undergraduate courses at the Tbilisi State Conservatory as well as the Moscow Music Gymnasium. Dr. Regina's teaching techniques are based on a combination of the famous Russian Music School (based on music giants such as Konstantin Igumnov, Daniel Barenboim, and Heinrich Neuhaus) and the American Music Education System. This combination allows each student to work at a pace comfortable for him/her, and helps all students make significant progress in the areas of sight reading, ear training, and performance skills. Dr. Regina's work has been featured in a variety of international publications, including the Voyage LA magazine. ***Teaching Locations*** Dr. Regina has teaching locations in Glendale, West Hollywood, and Fountain Valley (Orange County). My daughter truly enjoyed her first class. She felt comfortable and excited about restarting piano lessons again.
The best teacher ever that I encountered for my children. She has this charisma to engage my kids and make them focused. My kids benefited from her tremendously!
Regina is very details and passionate about her lessons. My kids love her first lesson very much. She is very patient with younger kids. I think they will enjoy their piano lesson a lot.
