Guten Tag, I'm Sam and use the pronouns she/her. I was born in England but have been living and teaching in the USA since 2014 where I studied for my MA in German Studies at the University of Florida. I began teaching with Takelessons in 2016 and never looked back! Last year I became a USA permanent resident and am working my way to becoming a citizen. I started learning German in school at 11 so, as well as teaching German I also know what it is like to learn it. I firmly believe this background aids my teaching. After school I went on to study German as my major at undergrad level, studying in Düsseldorf plus living and working in Berlin multiple times. Ich liebe (I love) all things Deutsch, would also love to pass that on to you. German can be a tough language to learn but that is what makes it extra rewarding. I consider myself to be an approachable teacher who will always strive to make you feel comfortable in our lessons steer them to cover things that interest you personally.
