****** Do you want to learn Japanese? ******** ******* I am here for you! ********* I love teaching Japanese. I have been teaching Japanese for over 10 years. I was born and raised in Japan. After my study in Japanese college where I earned a secondary teaching credential, I worked for international companies in Tokyo and later came to the US for study and worked for US companies to liaison between the countries, I was involved in numerous translations/interpretations. I understand nuance well to translate. I can help you learn Japanese to reach your goal. I teach absolute beginners to advanced levels including a native level JLPT 1. My sessions would be individually tailored based on your interests, necessary improvements, and goals. I am currently providing online lessons and limiting in-person lessons. During my lessons, you can use textbooks as well as other materials in a proactive learning style online or in-person (limited location). - School students: I have been tutoring school students for many years and connect with young people well. I am also familiar with the textbooks being used in high schools. We can review school assignments, conversational practice, or any other work you might have. - For travelers and your interest-based lessons, I will select appropriate materials to meet your needs. You can choose either Romaji or Kana-based lessons. - For business needs, my work experience would help you not only learn the language but also strengthen your communication skills in understanding its cultural aspects, nuance, and expressions. - For Japanese job seekers and Japanese college applications, I have experience in helping interview simulation and proofreading resumes and essays. - For JLPT prep, I specialize in JLPT prep all n5-n1 levels. My students have successfully passed the levels of N5 - N1. If you are interested in JLPT, please send me a message as it differs from the regular Japanese lessons. Cancelation policy: You must notify me before your session starts if you cannot attend a scheduled session in order to avoid a full cancellation charge. No-show would result in a cancellation charge. Besides tutoring Japanese, I enjoy painting Japanese calligraphy and making Ikebana flower arrangements. For group lessons (2 people or more), an extra $ 1/2 rate is charged to each lesson. Please mention that if you are in a group. My schedule on the site might not be updated as it always changes. So please send me a message to check my latest availability and any questions you might have. Look forward to hearing from you!

Seiko is an amazing teacher. She teaches me at my pace, and helps me with any specific area I am struggling with. She is kind, professional, organized and articulate, and I am glad to have her as a tutor.
I am lucky to have Seiko Sensei. She has been my tutor for more than a year. She is fun, professional, and patient. Her classes are customized to my level. I started as an absolute beginner. This year I am planning to take a JLPT test. I will continue learning from Sensei!
Taught me very well!
