I offer spoken Hindi classes to navigate social and professional situations effortlessly. I recommend that you learn to read and write the language but it is not compulsory to be able to speak it, though it would help immensely with accurate pronunciation of sounds that are unique to Hindi. I use standard spoken-Hindi books for my curriculum. I also offer academic classes to those who are already Hindi speakers, to enhance their understanding and interpretation of Hindi literature (prose and poetry) and grammar. The majority of my work experience has involved teaching middle and senior school curricula stipulated by the two largest education boards of India - CBSE and CISCE. I have been teaching first in Delhi, Chandigarh and Gurgaon and finally, since 2019, out of Atlanta, GA. I am a graduate of Philosophy (honours) from University of Delhi, 1995. I am currently pursuing my masters in Hindi. My family comes from the northern Hindi speaking state of Uttar Pradesh. I was born and have lived in New Delhi for most of my life. My classes are relaxed, enjoyable and stimulating. A sense of humour and wit are happily welcomed. There will be reading, writing, and passionately discussing and debating involved.
