Hello! I'm Sierra, a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Songwriting and Music Technology. I live in Los Angeles and work as a songwriter in multiple genres, including pop, R&B, folk, country and alternative. I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and have been writing songs since I was 5 years old. One of my earliest memories is writing my first song about cats, dogs and cows! I believe ANYONE can write a good song. It's important to embrace your unique voice and figure out a process that works best for you. I love getting to know my students and coach them on this journey of discovery. Songwriting is a skill just like coding or woodworking. You must learn the basic structures of words and music in order for your creativity to have solid ground to stand on. If you're struggling with writers block, feel like your inspiration has "dried up" or you can only write when you're in a certain "mood," I have tons of tips and tricks that will get you writing at all hours of the day regardless of how you feel. Other than music, I love reading, hiking, yoga and dogs. I'm obsessed with coffee shops, I can't stop traveling to new places and I'm always on the search for my next binge-worthy TV show. Send me a message to schedule your free 30 minute intro lesson. I can't wait to start writing songs with you!

I had 10 coaching sessions with Sierra and it was a very positive experience. I recommend her highly. She is a talented musician and quite knowledgeable about songwriting. I noticed that she was able to listen thoughtfully to my ideas and then give feedback that motivating and on-point. As a result, I'm improving every week and feeling more and more confident!
Sierra is a well-rounded artist and an excellent teacher. Her compositions demonstrate a depth (both musically and lyrically) that I consider a rarity and a treasure. I have seen her collaborate with a diverse pool of artists seamlessly and I admire that her understanding of her craft is not limited to her own personal style. She has provided me with amazing insights in my lyric writing while remaining inspiring and encouraging. I really feel like she's on my side and I look forward to continuing my work with her :)
If you are looking to make composition a passion, a daily challenge of exploration and creation? Sign up for Sierra classes today! 100% Recommended! I share with you that I started my classes in October 2021 and to this day, I have created my first two songs, simple but very heartfelt, and I am starting to write the third one!! :D From the first day I received theoretical and practical knowledge that motivated me to investigate, try to tell a sincere story and little by little understand the complex but exciting world of composition. Thanks a lot for reading! Gratitude to Sierra for everything! Keep going!
