Music Lessons for Piano and Saxophone from a Conservatory Graduate
I give In-home private lessons to students ranging from 3 years old to 40 years old! I specialize in beginner piano and saxophone! My goal is to have my students gain skills for their independence. This includes note reading, counting basic and complex rhythms, phrasing and artistry, and general creativity. Over time, we will graduate from books to real repertoire.
About Stephen T.

I recently graduated the Boston Conservatory with a Bachelors of Music in Saxophone Performance. I finished Cum Laude along with a minor in Philosophy. I am continuing my education at Boston University to get a Masters in Music for saxophone performance. I pitch to my students to live a very balanced lifestyle. Music is made through life experiences; there is no need to spend it practicing 6 hours a day. Personally, I spend lots of time playing basketball and at the gym to keep healthy. I love going out and enjoying nature as well! I want my students to understand music on a deep emotional level, and that doesn't mean spending all your time on the instrument. Instead, take some time to just think :)

I am a beginner saxophone player and Stephen's lesson has been really good for me. He is able to pace his lessons based on my needs and I really like how he assigns practice material to work on before our next lesson. We always start off each lesson with reviewing the practice material and he always gives me detailed feedback and is really patient even if I was not able to master the practice material. He also lets me bring songs I want to learn and guides me through it. I look forward to our lessons every week. I would recommend Stephen to anyone who is looking to get better at playing saxophone.
