Learn Bass Guitar from a guitarist with over 40 years of experience
I have been playing bass professionally for over 40 years and teaching at Los Angeles Music College for over 26 years. Each student is different so after finding out their level, I will design lessons that will cater to their needs. The areas that I will focus them on will be reading, technique, theory and styles just to name a few. I am comfortable with all levels and all musical backgrounds. Playing music needs to be fun as well and so we will spend some time learning music that contains iconic bass parts from great bass players. Looking forward to meeting you and getting started. All the best, Steve B
About Steve B.

I have been playing bass for over forty years. Within those forty plus years I have had the honor to play and travel the world with some amazing people as well as great players. I have been a side man most of my career, but I have also written, produced and played in many original projects that have produced some really great music, my latest project is called "The Odd Dogs". I have also been teaching at the Los Angeles College of Music for twenty six years. In that time I have created around Nine books. I was in charge of the Jazz program, so I have written five books of Jazz curriculum and two books for a Rhythm Studies class I created. It dealt with songs in Odd time signatures and focused on more complex rhythms. I taught in the bass department, but I also was in the general music department where I taught 5 levels of Harmony & Theory/Ear Training.

Los Angeles College of Music
I have a had many years of experience teaching and playing and I really love sharing that with my students. I love to see them apply the information that they receive and apply it to their own instrument. They then start to develop their individual identity as a musician and this is why I love to teach.
