As an experienced vocalist and teacher for over 20 years, I love to blend basic technical principles of singing with learning to read music and feeling confident and comfortable in your own unique sound. The process of finding your voice, regardless of genre, is so much fun and is the best part of teaching for me! We both learn along the way, and it can be a joyful experience! Singing is one of the most vulnerable modes of musical expression, and I respect that as your teacher above all. My job is to give you everything I can from my toolbox, so you can be confident in yourself even when I'm not there to guide you. I have taught all ages from elementary aged children, all the way up to adults, most of whom were beginners. Music is what I live and breathe. I'm obviously a classical buff, but I actually do a fair amount of rock and metal styles as well! I am all about freedom of self-expression, and will always be a safe and open minded mentor who checks their ego at the door. Truth be told, I am a bit of dramatics addict when it comes to my personal musical style! I have extensively performed and studied to be able to have a valid and informed artistic voice. I have studied classical singing and style for over fifteen years. Consequently, I have years of experience with language and translation, as well as interpretation. Having an informed background in studying where music and art has evolved from, I have a very distinct identity as a professional freelance artist.
